Oh Roberto...

I give you full permission to leave Ali and just come here to Vegas! Its obvious we would be perfect together. Deep down I hope she doesn't pick you so that you can be the next bachelor. Now that would be some good T.V. I on the other hand would fully consider coming on the show! haha JK mom I'm only joking. MMM Roberto is pretty good though..Nothin like a tall dark and handsome, latin, professional baseball player..who can dance! SIGN ME UP!

But if things do work out with Ali then I'd still take cute Reid from last season...
Oh the bachelorette...what a show! xoxo- a girl in the city

H.I.T

HIT is a term we use quick frequently here at Elvis. It sadly has become a major part of my vocabulary. I find myself expressing to my mom on the phone that I am HIIIITTTT! haha I know she has no clue what it means but I think she gets the point! Hit is what you say when you have NO other words to express your amount of exhaustion, achy muscles, tired body, fired brain, or just plain need to go home! These past two weeks here at Elvis has especially been HIT! You can always tell when our cast needs a break. We have gone 1 too many weeks without some time apart and time to rest. Last friday we broke the record by having 21 people OUT of the show that night. I'm not exactly sure how you do a show without 21 artists but they somehow did it. People are dropping like flies. Our bodies are just simply exhausted. I have had 2 DUMB but painful injuries in the last few days. That is 2 more than I have EVER had. It's so annoying being out and not being able to perform but sometimes you just have to take care of your body. Anyways I leave for Utah on Wed. and I couldn't be more ready! I can't wait to spend time with my family, eat some yummy home cooked meals, see my friends, dance a little, and just relax! Ok off to sleep before this muscle relaxer kicks in.. I'M HIT!!!!  Good night xoxo- a girl in the city

Only took me 2 months:)

I FINALLY unpacked the last box in the new room!!

Beautiful Nightmare..

Dreams have been on my mind lately. I don't know what it is but I am nightmare prone. I find myself having weird, bad dreams all the time. I don't like it one bit. It's very rare that I will have a dream so good that waking up to reality is the bad part. When the moment I opened my eyes and realized I was actually asleep laying in my bed, tears rolled down my cheeks. These kinds of dreams make me wonder. Why would I dream that? Why does it have to be a dream? Why can't I just fall back asleep and never wake up? I Love hate these kind of dreams. I hate that dreams can consume my thoughts for an entire day. They make me think, wonder and question. Dreaming can be such a magical thing but can also be a very scary thing. I wish I knew more about the real meaning of why we dream, and what they mean. I guess its something no one REALLY knows. Why do you think we dream the way we do?? For now I will leave it up to my wild and crazy imagination... Sweet dreams - a girl in the city

(isn't she the cutest, I just found this and had to share)

Be sure to tune in.....

So you think you can...So you think you can.. Dance dance dance dance!!!

It's official Viva Elvis will be performing a rendition of Return to Sender (our stomping number) along with Heart break hotel duets.

It has been hard performing two shows a night in addiction to long day rehearsals with Nappytabs and the amazing Mandy Moore. BUT we are all very excited, so hopefully that will get us through these next few days!

Tune in this Thursday, July 1st on Fox!!

Happy Anniversary!

(this was taken on our last day in Montreal)

(The Big move!! Love my dad )

Tuesday June 1st was our Viva Elvis ONE YEAR anniversary! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I really miss living in Montreal. We had so many good times there and I hope to go back someday. On another note, I finally made the big move. Last Friday my dad and brother drove down to help me move out. I love my new house. I feel comfortable here and it already feels like home. I have even managed to get sick and for some odd reason that makes it feel that much more like home. I have 2 new roommates and I look forward to getting to know them. I also have a new awesome singles ward that I am excited to start going to. I am in an interesting spot in my life right now but I think this move is the perfect start to my new beginning. I haven't had a chance to officially unpack yet but once I do I promise to post pictures. xoxo- a girl in the city

A master cleanse..

Sometimes in life we get lost and need a rude awakening to open up our eyes. We need to refocus our priorities and find "ME" again. Who am I? What do I stand for? More importantly, what are my eternal goals in life? I like these kind of awakenings. I will admit the shock of hearing it from someone hurts but the evaluation part is refreshing. It's like a big fat life CLEANSE. I love that word! Just reading and writing it makes me feel pure and fresh and rejuvenated. You know that feeling like after you clean out your closet, or organize the "crap drawer", or the week you start a new diet? Yes that's what I'm talking about! My life cleanse began two days ago. I already feel like a new person. I wont bore you by going into the details but I will say that giving up that self absorbing FB page has been a perfect starting point for me. I find myself with spare time to focus on what's really important. Along with plenty of time to start my scrapbook calendar! (sorry it took so long, photos below just for you mom!!) Yes the photo/page stalking, wedding announcements and cute comments are exciting but a little time away is just what I need. I can't keep living through other peoples lives and wondering what my life would have been like" if".... I need to live mine now, just the way it is. I am SO blessed. I love my life, I love my family and I love my job. I wouldn't want to be in anyone elses shoes. Mine are plenty big to fill. In the long run all I want is for my Heavenly Father to be proud of the decisions I am making. To be proud of the woman /wife/mother/grandmother that I will be someday. I know he has a plan for each of us and I know everything happens for a reason. I am so grateful for this cleansing period in my life. I want to share a scripture I came across tonight. 1 John 3:2-3 it reads: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." - I know everyone relates to scriptures differently but this one tonight was written for me. I needed to read that. I love making small changes in my life that have big results in only a few days. Talk about prayers being answered. I am making changes. I am Happy. I hope you find something small to cleanse in your life. There is no better feeling that being pure and clean. Have a wonderful week! xoxo- a girl in the city

Mother's Day 2010

I found this quote on somebody else's blog but I just had to share:

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." — Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Happy Mothers day to all the Mom's in my life! I hope one day to be a mother and to be able to teach my children how to really live! I have been blessed with the most amazing mother. I look up to her in everything she does. One day I hope to be as strong and beautiful as she is. I love you mom, always remember that! xoxoxo

The cast with Tabitha after camera blocking for DWTS!
