a little embarrassing..

So yesterday I spent the afternoon at the Dentist. It was my day off so I figured it would be a good time to get a little work done. AWFUL idea stacey... UGH! I really thought I was a big kid until I had a full on panic attack in the chair and started crying. Not just a few glistening tears on the cheek, Im talking full on sobs! So much was going on...needles, hands, tools, noises, smells, achy jaw, gross taste..etc. Anyways after about an hour of silent panic I finally had a full on anxiety attack. I just couldn't think of my happy place any longer! Lucky me I get to go back 3 more times. :(

After my interesting afternoon I headed to Mandalay Bay for the Miss Universe Pageant. Our band and few of the male dancers in my show got to perform during the swimsuit portion. As Tovah and I waited in line for our tickets I noticed a few people staring at me. I then remembered my swolen face from all the numbing at the dentist. GREAT now I get to be at the pageant with all these beautiful woman from all over the world and I look like a chipmunk. Tovah even brought me a fierce pair of sunglasses to try and hide some of the damage! haha Meanwhile as Im hiding in line I noticed THIS hottie looking at my puffy cheeks!

a little bit of family, away from my family....

Since my big move I have gotten lucky to be in a super awesome singles ward. I really love it. I finally have a calling..I'm on the New members committee! Basically the Bishop just wants me to meet people:) He knows it has been a rough lonely year for me aside from work so this is at least a way to get a date! haha On the flip side I met my cute little family of "girlfriends". These girls have literally taken me under their wing. Sundays are our day! We go to church(all 3 hours might I add :), make sunday dinner, and usually stay up a little too late chatting. It has been so fun! After church last week we did our usual dinner then some painting on their new (cutest) house, then had the sister missionaries over for a lesson. I have never had the opportunity of sitting through a missionary discussion like that. It was amazing. I sure do love missionaries. After having a brother/dad/mom serve one it  makes me have SO much respect for them! I decided that when I get married (since I WILL be getting married one day HAHA) I want to have the missionaries over all the time! Last friday the girls came to see my show. They loved it but I think I loved having them out there in the audience even more. It means so much to me to have support from friends I just barely met, who were excited for me and proud of me. They are the best. After the show I took them to my favorite place to eat Firefly. YAY for new friends.. Anyways thats all for now. XOXO-  a girl in the city

Ok...Im on a quest! A 7 day book reading quest! Those of you who know me, know that I am not a reader. Very slow, stumble my words, ADD...etc. But Im taking the challenge. The girls in my cast are having a  girls date next friday for the opening of Eat, Pray, Love. I  have been dying to see it but Im not invited unless I finish the book first HAHA.
