Oh the lives we lead....

It has been a hard, exhausting, sunny, exciting, GOOD weekend! The best friend came for a visit. We shopped, saw movies and of course laid by the pool.. mmm NOTHIN better! I found out some extremely exciting news on friday, lets just say ( DO NOT miss DANCING WITH THE STARS on May 4th ;)). We are in the middle of another gruesome 6 day week + extra Nappytab rehearsal. I can't really complain though cause with those two it's always a good time! I do have a massive rock in my right quad and about 5 knots in my left shoulder blade though that I would be willing to trade. Anybody want to loan me theirs? ...... hmm didn't think so! I guess I will just continue on with my bff's Mr. ice and Mrs. heating pad. On the bright side it has been a beautiful sunday and I am grateful I could make it to church today. I also got to skype the fam which is ALWAYS the highlight of my day. I am a little sad I didn't get to be home for the birthday weekend. Cam and Col turned the BIG 16 yesterday and Tui turned 26 on Fri. I hope all 3 of you had a very special weekend. Boys, I can't wait for your Vegas vacation..I mean what could be a better birthday present?!??!?!?! haha I know I know its not a car but hey I am the coolest sister ever so its close enough right? Plus the "BB" is a super fun car and the ladies wont be able to resist you studs when you pull up with the top down! hehe Can't wait to see you cute boys/men in a month! Ok ok I must get to bed, I have 3 more days of this work week so wish me luck. To my sweet family and friends, I miss you dearly. Have a wonderful week and keep on smiling. I love you- xoxo a girl in the city

For a reason...

I truly do believe people come into our lives for a reason! Kim is most definitely one of these people. She came into my life at the most perfect time when I really needed a friend. I have always gotten along with people who are older than me and generally it's people I nanny for. I feel like she truly is my friend and even more like a sister. She gives the most amazing advise and I know when I tell her things she is really listening. We have had countless late night chats after tending her sweet girls. I miss those days! Her husband Justin is in Vegas and will be coming to the show tomorrow night. It's always fun to have people out there who I know. I wish Kim was here with him but I guess he will do ;) haha Anyways Kim if you are reading this I hope you know how much I miss you. I also hope you know how much I have learned from you and know I am a better person because of you! Lots and lots love..ps. come visit soon!!!!! - Stace

American Idol

American Idol came to VIVA ELVIS! I had such a blast getting to meet these nice people. They are all very talented and its always fun to have perks like this in the work place. The episode on Idol premiered tonight but from what I hear we didn't get much t.v. time. So much for my 15 mins of fame! haha Kidding but at least our incredible stage and Juke box set made a very nice background for their rehearsals with Adam Lambert. Here are a few photos from their time with Elvis:

Some fun in the sun!

I had a wonderful weekend with sadly zero photos to prove it. I drove to St. George to stay and play with the Bland family over our 2 day weekend. Now this is a family I love to be around. Not only do they wait on you hand and foot and make you feel like a million bucks on their vacation but they are fun, adventurous, and so darn cute!
My first day Kenna took me for a ride on the ranger and the boys followed in on their 4 wheeler. Later that night Sus and I had a much needed typical girl chat where I ended up talking her ear off unitl 3 am!! Oops time sure does fly when your having fun! The next day we drove to Zion's national park and did a very LONG, HARD, HIGH CALORIE BURNING hike up to this weeping rock. In total I think the hike was about .4 miles, yes .4 .........mine and Brevin's legs were jello in the first 2 minutes. HAHA Good thing the hike was only 5 mins total or I'm not sure we would have made it to the top ;)
After our casual walk in the park hike we ended the day playing in the sand dunes! SO FUN....I had heard lots about them but never been myself. The red sand is so soft and the "mountains" as Shauna would say were fun to climb aside from my terrible fear of heights. (thank you cirque du soleil) Anyways thank you again Blands for including me on this fun vacation. I sure do love your family!!! Ps. Sus I LOVE my magic bullet already. THANKYOU!!
Now back to reality... First show tonight was really exciting. We performed for this seasons American Idol top 8 contestants along with the cast from "Dance your A$$ off ". After our first show the America Idol cast came back stage for a short meet and greet. Everyone was really nice and very outgoing. Big Mike is my favorite. We bonded during animation before the show as I played Amber from Dallas Texas :) He loved playing along with me and so it was fun to meet him after and introduce myself as Stacey haha. Look for us in next weeks Elvis episode airing on Wednesday at 7pm!
Now that I am back to work for a 6 day week which means 12 shows....down 2 only 10 more to go, I hope the rest of you enjoy your weekend and hopefully get some nice spring weather. xoxo- a girl in the city
ps. HUGE thanks to my very ARTISTIC and talented cousin Bryn for helping me with the blog makeover! It's looking so much better already. I love you!

Such a good day.....

Today was a beautiful reminder of the Love our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ has for us. Conference was amazing as usual and I am grateful I was able to listen. I guess being away from home makes holidays like this turn me into a mushy cry baby. I love that part about growing up. What better way to realize your blessings and strengthen your testimony than being on your own. This conference I discovered that my new favorite hymn is "This is the Christ". As I sat on my bed listening my small apartment room just filled with the spirit. I am eternally grateful for the sacrifice our Savior has made for each of us. I will strive to make Jesus Christ my role model and his teachings my guidance throughout this life. My heart is full today of happiness and love and gratitude and the sweet spirit of my Heavenly father and the Holy Ghost. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter sunday. "Peace be with you now and always"- President Thomas S. Monson I love you ALL! xoxo- A girl in the city

Spring has definitely Sprung!

Mmm....days like today make me feel alive!!! I LOVE spring...everything about it! I really believe that sunshine makes everyone happier! This weekend was perfect, basically I did some cleaning and laundry, drove around in this yummy weather with my top down, played at Town Square, Saw two movies, and finished the night with good food and good friends at Yard house! I loved it...Tal's and I decided it was a Sea turtle weekend with a side of Yard house haha. You will understand the turtle thing once you all go see "The last song" ps.(grab some kleenex) and "The bounty hunter"! I love movies and there is just something about going to the theatre that makes them that much better. Who knows it might be the caramel popcorn and diet coke but there is just nothin better. Anyways its amazing that it is already April. I hope you all had a fun April fools and you have a even better Easter! Wish I could be with the Family this year but I will thinking of you all. Mean while I will be soaking up this perfect spring weather before the hot blistering desert weather comes to play. Love you all...Happy April 1st! xoxo- a girl in the City
Ps. How can you not smile at this sweet lady :) Makes me miss my beach cruiser!
